Everyone asks about the baby. This page is asking about you.
None of these make you a bad mom. They make you a person going through one of the biggest changes a body and a life can hold.
- The worry doesn't stop when the baby is finally asleep.
- You love your baby — and you miss your old life. Both are true.
- Everyone visits the baby. Nobody really asks how you are.
- You snap, then feel guilty, then snap again. That's not "you."
- Thoughts that scare you, that you haven't told anyone.
- "I should be grateful" is doing a lot of heavy lifting right now.
Care that meets you mid-chaos.
The worry that won't switch off
Checking the monitor again. Scary thoughts you'd never say out loud. We use practical, evidence-based tools (CBT, ACT) to turn the volume down — and I'll tell you plainly what's common and what deserves more support.
The you underneath
Your body, your work, your marriage, your name — everything shifted at once. As a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist, I work with the guilt and "I should be grateful" underneath it, gently.
Therapy that actually fits
Online, from your couch, during a nap or a feed. Baby crying mid-session? We keep going. No childcare, no commute, no waiting room — the logistics bend around you for once.
If your path here has included loss — a pregnancy, a baby, a birth story that went differently than it should have — that grief belongs here too, at whatever pace it needs. Grief work is a named lane of this practice: no stages checklist, no timeline. Read about grief & loss.
Warm, credible, and honest about how hard this is.
I'm Chandni Kapadia — a Columbia-trained Licensed Professional Counselor with two master's degrees and years of experience walking women and families through high-stress, high-change seasons. My work blends CBT, DBT, and ACT with shame-informed care: practical skills, zero judgment.
Motherhood comes with a script about how you're supposed to feel. Therapy is where you get to put the script down and tell the truth. More about Chandni →
What happens when you reach out.
You send one email
One-handed, at 3am, mid-feed — a sentence is enough. You'll hear back within one business day.
We talk for 15 minutes
A free, no-commitment call — baby noise welcome. If we're not the right fit, you'll leave with a good referral.
You pick the pace
Weekly, every other week — whatever this season allows. Sessions are online, private, and yours.
The honest questions.
Can I do sessions with the baby there?
Yes. Sessions are online, and babies are welcome on screen. Feeds, cries, and interruptions are part of the season — we work around them, not against them. No childcare required to get support.
Is what I'm feeling postpartum depression?
You don't need a diagnosis — or a label — to start. In our first sessions we'll look honestly at what you're carrying, what's common in the first year, and what deserves more support. If medication questions come up, I'll help you connect with the right prescriber while we keep working together.
My partner and family don't understand why I'm struggling.
Painfully common — especially when the baby is healthy and everyone expects you to be glowing. Therapy is one hour where you don't have to justify it. And when you're ready, we can work on the words to help the people around you get it.
One hour that's only yours.
